PHOTOIS PAISLEY BLACKBURN NOT UP NEXT?! 👀🔥 BECAUSE SHE ALREADY BEEN HER! She might be listed at 5’3” but her game is about as tall as it gets! Sis does not care. 💀 Paisley has been running the Wyoming Indian offense since her freshman year, and at this point she doesn’t just play point guard… She got the whole game on lock fr. 🎮 As a sophomore: 🔥 10.4 PPG 🎯 2.8 APG 🥷 2.8 SPG 🏆 All-State 🏆 All-Conference 🥈 2A State Runner-Up But the numbers don’t even explain how nasty she really is to watch though. As a freshman, Paisley scored all 14 of her points in the second half of the state semifinal and helped send Wyoming Indian to the championship with that Kyrie handle and total pace control! She ain’t the type to turn that john over! Apparently sis spent the first half downloading the defense. 😭 Then she opened the 2026 state tournament against Big Horn with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Again… ELEVEN REBOUNDS. AT 5'3". Home girl was down there repossessing basketballs. Somebody check the lost-and-found because the bigs left without their boards. 💀 She also gave Big Piney 19, earned a spot in the Native All-Star Game, and proudly represented the Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho communities. Silky handle. Crazy vision. Active hands. Absolutely zero fear. She might be 5'3", but her game walks into the gym about 6'8" with work boots on. Now Paisley enters her junior season as one of the coldest floor generals in Wyoming 2A. Is Paisley Blackburn up next—or has home girl already taken the keys? 👀🔥 #WyoHoops #UpNext #PaisleyBlackburn #WyomingIndian #LadyChiefs WyomingBasketball GirlsBasketball NativeAthletes
▣ GALLERYIF YOU WEREN’T IN THE GYM LAST JUNE… JUST KNOW WYOMING HOOPS WAS LOUD! 😤🔥🏀 The WyoHoops Summer Showcase was CRAZY! It was LOUD! Packed sidelines. Tough buckets. Bodies hitting the floor. Benches losing their minds and cosches joining! Teams from across Wyoming pulling up ready to prove something. No easy games. No quiet moments. No shortage of smoke. 😭 These teams gave us an entire weekend of competition, memories and quality summer reps—and showed exactly what happens when Wyoming hoopers finally get a stage of their own. Last June was the beginning. What comes next is going to be even louder. 👀 Spring Showcase kickoff - May 2027 Summer Showcase - June 2027 SUPRISE TOURNAMENT - July 2027 👀 Tag somebody who was in the building! ⬇️ Tage someone who needs to make it next year! #WyoHoops #SummerShowcase #WyomingBasketball #HighSchoolHoops #TravelBasketball BuiltHereSeenEverywhere
▶ REELJOSIAH COLEMAN HAD NINE DUNKS IN ONE GAME… COACHES, DO WE NEED TO SAY IT LOUDER?! 😭🚨🏀 Not nine points. Not nine dunk attempts. NINE. DUNKS. In about 30 minutes of basketball. Bro was treating a varsity game like laps at the rec. Down and back. Catch one. Turn around. Do it again. 😭 A few were posters. 📸 A few were business decisions. You could see the help defense calculate the risk and decide, “You know what… we’ll get those two back.” 💀 And if you know Josiah, none of this is breaking news. Bro been trying to remove rims from Wyoming gyms since about eighth grade. The rest of us grew a little. Josiah unlocked contact dunks. 🎮🔥 But don’t let the bounce distract you—he can HOOP. Get downhill. Finish through traffic. Knock down shots. And turn one possession into a whole gym standing up. We caught up with the Natrona County hooper at the WyoHoops Summer Showcase. 🎤 After a game like that, we had to give him the mic. The rim had already heard enough from him. 😭 And Wyoming… Natrona doesn’t just look good on the football field this year. That basketball squad is DANGEROUS. 👀🐎 Josiah and those boys are coming back with something to say. Coaches, tap in. Defenders, stretch. Camera crew, keep recording. 📸🔥 Who’s getting in front of Josiah on the break… and who’s suddenly guarding the shooter in the corner? 😭⬇️ #WyoHoops #JosiahColeman #NatronaCounty #WyomingBasketball #SummerShowcase
▣ GALLERYY’ALL ASKED FOR IT, SO WE BUILT IT.. THEN YOU GAVE THE WHOLE STATE SOMETHING TO TALK ABOUT. 😤🏀🔥 The WyoHoops Summer Showcase had buckets, bounce, floor burns, double-OT drama… and a handshake line that almost needed its own referee. 😭👀 But when the smoke cleared, these hoopers had the hardware: 🏆 VARSITY CHAMPIONS Girls — Natrona Fillies Boys — Cheyenne Central TRIBE 🏆 JV CHAMPIONS Girls — Campbell County Boys — Natrona 👑 Girls MVP — Afton Cummins 👑 Boys MVP — Hayden Geis 🔒 Girls Defensive MVP — Brooklyn Sheaff 🔒 Boys Defensive MVP — Gavin Patik 🚀 Battle of the Bounce Champ — Noah Kingston Give them their flowers. They earned those things. 💐💯 But this weekend went way beyond who held a trophy. Everybody pulled up and got meaningful summer reps. Some left with hardware. Some left with giveaways thanks to DICK’S Sporting Goods in Casper. 🎁 Everybody left with memories, new friends, and something they learned that weekend they’ll carry with them. About their game. Their team. Themselves. That’s why we did it. You wanted competition. You wanted exposure. You wanted a weekend where Wyoming hoopers could line it up and see who’s really like that. We made it happen. YOU made it worth doing again. 💯 Was it run perfectly? Nah. Was there a missed call? I’m sure somebody’s dad still has the replay paused on his phone. 😭 Did Natrona and Central leave with a little beef? 👀 We’ll see what that looks like this season. Bring popcorn. 🍿 We heard the feedback. We’re tightening things up. And when y’all asked if we’d do one again… Unfortunately, we won’t be doing one. WE’RE DOING THREE. 😭🔥 🚨 2027 WYOHOOPS x WYOSPORTS RANCH SUMMER SERIES 🚨 📅 MAY 8–9 — SPRING SHOWCASE Kick off the travel season. Put the new squad to the test. 📅 JUNE 5–6 — SUMMER SHOWCASE School’s out. More teams available. Travel season rolling. More smoke. 📅 JULY 10–11 — SUMMER SHOWCASE 2.0 The summer finale. Teams from around the region pulling up to Wyoming to compete. More teams. More awards. Crazier giveaways. Special guest appearances. 👀🔥 If you thought the first one was crazy… 2027 is about to be INSANE. #WyoHoops #Summershowcase #highschoolbasketball
PHOTOBREAKOUT FRESHMAN: MAIBRI SCHWAN PULLED UP TO THE SUMMER SHOWCASE AS AN EIGHTH GRADER AND STARTED SCRAPPING WITH VARSITY GIRLS. 😭🐾🏀 No fear. No freshman disclaimer. No asking the big schools to take it easy. Maibri came with her squad to get buckets. ✅ Jumpshot ✅ Handle ✅ Makes good reads ✅ Multi-Sport athlete ✅ Got a little dog in her And if you didn’t know, she got wheels!🔥 At the 2026 Big Horn Conference Track Meet, she finished 2nd overall in the 100-meter hurdles hoppin over them things like defenders. 😭 She already helped Thermopolis capture a Big Horn Conference championship in eighth grade. Now No. 12 enters high school with a complete skill set and enough grit to compete with anybody in the gym. She may be from a smaller school, but her expectations are big! 💯 Maibri Schwan is officially one of our Breakout Freshmen to watch in Wyoming’s Class of 2030. 👀🔥 How much noise will she make during her freshman season? #WyoHoops #BreakoutFreshman #MaibriSchwan #ThermopolisBasketball #LadyCats
▶ REELCOACH DREW IT UP. CARLI CASHED IT OUT. 💰🔥🎯 Catch. One dribble. Set. Splash. When the close-out has no sense of urgency, Carli the type to charge you the full three-point late fee. 💸 She’s a three-year varsity player for Natrona with experience playing for Future Legends, Wyoming Select and 24MD Team Daum on the UA circuit the last couple summers. Now schools like Rocky Mountain College and Napa Valley College are coming with offers, and the résumé explains why. 💯 Elite shooter. Experienced two-way guard. Can handle the ball. 4.0 GPA. 27 ACT. Apparently giving defenders homework wasn’t enough, so she started doing all of hers too. 📚🔥 Carli gave them girls buckets all season—and she’s going to run it back for more one more time this year. Coaches: the film is speaking. Turn the volume up. 👀 #WyoHoops #CarliDinkel #NatronaBasketball #WyomingBasketball #GirlsBasketball ClassOf2027 WyoHoopsShowcase
PHOTOTHROWBACK THURSDAY: TARAN BROWN HAD THE SLIDERS TURNED UP 🎮😭 Taran was a dog but also the nicest kid you ever met! Give you 25 and smile in your face the whole time! The 6'7" Campbell County cheat code was out here running a crazy build in Wyoming 4A: 🔥 20.1 PPG 🧱 8.9 RPG 🚫 2.4 BPG 🥷 2.0 SPG Big fella could score, rebound, steal your lunch money and send your layup back with a tracking number. Above all though was the 2011 4A State Championship against Laramie… Taran dropped 25 points and went a perfect 8-FOR-8 FROM THE FIELD while Campbell County beat the brakes off Laramie, 60–33, to bring home the chip. 🏆 Eight shots. Eight buckets. In the state championship. That wasn’t a hot streak. That was homey pausing the game, opening the settings and sliding his field-goal percentage all the way to 99 when you go to the bathroom. 😭 Meanwhile, Laramie scored only 33 points as an entire team. Taran almost caught them by himself in a championship game while helping Campbell County put the absolute clamps on everything breathing! By graduation, Taran owned Campbell County records for: 🏀 1,175 career points 💪 540 career rebounds 🚫 148 career blocks 🎯 453 career field goals He also earned two First-Team All-State selections, became a McDonald’s All-American nominee and was named the 2010–11 Wyoming Gatorade Player of the Year. And just when Montana thought Wyoming basketball was done with him, Taran gave them 31 points and 9 rebounds in the Wyoming–Montana All-Star series—then hit a double-clutch three with three seconds left to force overtime. Bro didn’t believe in losing. He just kept entering cheat codes until the scoreboard cooperated. 😭 6'7". Buckets. Bounce. Blocks. State champion. Taran Brown wasn’t playing the same game as everybody else. Bro was the game-breaking build they patch after everybody complains. 🔥 If you ever had to guard him—or tried putting up a shot anywhere near him—tap in and tell us how quickly you realized the difficulty settings were broken. 👀 Who should we put on Throwback Thursday next? ⬇️ #WyoHoops #ThrowbackThursday #TaranBrown #CampbellCounty #GilletteBasketball
▶ REELDOWN 15 AND FRESH OFF AN UGLY LOSS… THIS WAS THE PART WHERE BUFFALO WAS SUPPOSED TO FOLD… BUT DIDN’T 👀🏀 Coming off a rough game against Pine Bluffs, the Buffalo boys found themselves buried by 15 again in their next run. No panic. No hero ball. No imaginary 15-point shot. Just one stop. One bucket. One possession at a time. 🧱 Our guy Josh Sauers got a chance to catch up with senior Hayden Geis and junior Luken Smith to talk about the win, staying together and what this squad is bringing into the season. Apparently Buffalo wasn’t cooked. They were just letting the game preheat. 😭🔥 #WyoHoops #BuffaloBasketball #HaydenGeis #LukenSmith #WyomingBasketball
PHOTOCODY’S COLE SHEPARD REALLY BEEN HIM…! A BIG MAN WITH GUARD SKILLS AND SOME BOUNCE 😭🏀 Meet Cole Shepard, one of our Breakout Freshmen from Wyoming’s incoming Class of 2026. Cole stands about 6'2" with the size to guard your big—but please don’t confuse bro for some basic screen-setting, corner-standing 3-and-D starter kit big man.. nahhh... The handle is real. The jumper is elite. And it ain’t just catch-and-shoot either. Cole can grab the board, push the break himself and pull up before the defense finishes yelling, “Who got ball?!” 😭 His eighth-grade season was a full-blown showcase, leading Cody to a perfect 15-0 record while making it extremely obvious that bro has been living in the gym. Big-man size. Guard controls. Elite level shooting range. That build wasn’t supposed to be available in the freshman settings. 🎮🔥 Cole hasn’t played a Wyoming varsity game yet—but if eighth grade was the preview, Cody might want to clear some space in the trophy case. How much noise will Cole Shepard make during his freshman season? 👀 #WyoHoops #BreakoutFreshman #ColeShepard #CodyBasketball #ClassOf2030 WyomingBasketball HighSchoolHoops Kobe protro 5 xray 🐍 https://www.nike.com/ph/launch/t/kobe-5-protro-deep-royal-blue
PHOTOBREAKOUT FRESHMAN WARNING: DARIUS SWENSON IS COMING TO HIGH SCHOOL WITH A NATIONAL RANKING AND GROWN-MAN DIMENSIONS. 😭🏀 Rock Springs freshman Darius Swenson is already about 6'2", long, athletic and built like somebody forgot to check the age settings. Bro has been a man amongst boys for several seasons—and Wyoming hasn’t even seen him in a varsity jersey yet. 👀 Darius spent his recent summers getting tested in Utah with the Utah Sonic and Utah Mountain Stars, becoming a nationally rated Top-100 prospect in the Class of 2030.. Which ironically was his team name at the Thermopolis tournament where he started handing out buckets to his own graduating class like it was a charity drive. One for you.. One for you… That wasn’t foreshadowing. That was a warning. 🚨 Bronisnalready committed to The utah's best freshman showcase... And he aint even from there. 💯 The varsity résumé starts now—but the work definitely didn’t. How big of an impact will Darius make during his freshman season? 👀🔥 #WyoHoops #BreakoutFreshman #DariusSwenson #RockSpringsBasketball #ClassOf2030 WyomingBasketball HighSchoolHoops
▣ GALLERYTHE SHOES WERE ALMOST AS LOUD AS THE CROWD THIS SUMMER…! 👟🏆🔥 Kobe Reverse Grinches! 🐍 Kobe 6s! Those had Wyoming in a chokehold. The Ja 3’s! ▶ REELOVO SELECT CAME LOOKING FOR COMPETITION… AND A COUPLE OF THEM STILL NEEDED A PERMISSION SLIP. 😭🏀💯 Ages ranged from 12—yes, TWELVE—to 15, but these young boys weren’t intimidated by anybody in 16U. OVO went undefeated on Day 1, swinging the ball, finding the open man and knocking down tough shots while playing in transition. Pass. Pass. Extra pass. Bucket 🪣 The defense kept rotating until somebody got left wide open and OVO collected the payment. 🧾 Young squad. Tough competition. Grown-man ball movement. And those turquoise jerseys? Drip was fully activated. 🥶💧 OVO Select, we see y’all. 👀🔥 #WyoHoops #OVOSelect #WyoHoopsShowcase #WyomingBasketball #YouthBasketball BallMovement
▶ REELBROOKLYN SHEAFF HIT THE DEFENSE WITH THE SUPER VILLIAN ENERGY 😭🏀 One well timed acceleration, and a change of direction, and Brooklyn was at the rim with the lay. Just an easy two points added to the account. 🧾 The Kelly Walsh guard combines an athletic frame with downhill speed and the ability to impact both ends of the floor. She’s a fierce two-way player, a 4.0 GPA student and the reigning WyoHoops Summer Showcase Defensive MVP. Straight A’s in the classroom. Still out here giving defenders homework. 📚 Brooklyn enters her junior year with two full seasons left to keep developing—and if this summer was any indication, she’s going to be a fun player to watch this season. 👀🔥 #WyoHoops #BrooklynSheaff #KellyWalsh #WyomingBasketball #GirlsBasketball SummerShowcase HighSchoolHoops
▣ GALLERYTO THE COACHES HOLDING WYOMING HOOPS TOGETHER WITH NOTHIN' BUT A WHISTLE, A WHITEBOARD AND ABSOLUTELY NO FREE TIME—THIS ONE’S FOR YOU. 🫡🏀 Before the highlights, trophies and big moments, somebody had to organize practice, teach the game, demand more and remind everybody—for the fifth time—to get back on defense, and for the loce of everytbing holy use the glass! We’re grateful for all of the cosches that made it tot he Summer Showcase this year, but this goes beyond that... 💯 Shoutout to every coach across Wyoming giving their time and energy to help kids learn teamwork, discipline and the healthy competition of high school athletics. It isn’t always easy. The hours are long, the pressure is real sometimes and somebody’s parent always has a substitution suggestion or a way they used to do it 😭 Still, these coaches keep showing up for their players and communities and put that school's name on their back every day - and Wyoming basketball is better because of it. Thank you for building the game. Thanks to your families for standing behind you! And thank you for helping make these opportunities possible! 💯 This yesr has been crazy, and honestly, we’re just getting started. What’s next is going to be different. 👀🔥 And were stoked you're a part of it! #WyoHoops #WyoHoopsShowcase #CoachesAppreciation #WyomingBasketball #HighSchoolHoops WyomingCoaches
PHOTOTHE FUTURE OF WYOMING HOOPS AIN’T WAITING ITS TURN. 👀🔥 These are some of the boys nominated for the top spots in Wyoming’s incoming freshman class by you: 🏀 Cole Shepherd — Cody 🏀 Orion Hill — Cody 🏀 Ramsey Moline — Big Horn 🏀 Paxton Prevecek — Hulett 🏀 Colby Gallinger — Douglas 🏀 Melo Smith — Riverton 🏀 William Garrison — Thermopolis 🏀 Braxton Voneye — Newcastle 🏀 Brayden Voneye — Newcastle Freshmen on paper. But a few of these boys might walk into varsity practice looking for an upperclassman’s minutes immediately. 😭 So let’s hear it: Who makes the biggest varsity impact THIS season? Who becomes a full-blown dog by senior year? PHOTOTHROWBACK THURSDAY: JOHN SOUNDINGSIDES DROPPED MORE THAN THE ENTIRE OTHER TEAM. 😭🚨 In 2012, Wyoming Indian’s John Soundingsides dropped 65 on Shoshoni! Shoshoni had 42… 👀 That is not a win.. That is vehicular homicide. 🚓 John hit 17 threes that night. SEVENTEEN! Some say they heard Kobe yell "John" on a shot attempt during his last game 🤷♂️ We'll never know.. Bro was moving like he was ducking 12, swerving through traffic, pulling from wherever. Watch the game film on that fr! Eyes on the goal. Stick and move. On to the next one. 🎯 He was launching 12.7 threes a game that season. That is not shot selection, that is an emergency broadcast system. 😭 but my guy was doing it averaging 33.5% on the 22-1 season. And he wasn’t just a one-night shooter, either: 22.8 PPG 5.7 APG 3.9 SPG Then in the 2A state title game, Wyoming Indian was down 37–27 to Lovell. It was starting to look all but over for them boys until John hit the gas, scored 10 during a nasty 20–2 run, and the Chiefs brought home the championship, 68–57. 🏆 That 65-piece also earned John the NUCLEAR BADGE on the WyoHoops Player Portal. ☢️ Only a few players in Wyoming history have put up the kind of numbers that unlock it. Historic shooter. State champion. Certified highway hazard. Certified bucket! If you played against John Soundingsides, tap in. How many threes did he have before y’all started checking the rims for magnets? 👀 Who’s up next? #WyoHoops #ThrowbackThursday #JohnSoundingsides #WyomingIndian #NuclearBadge WyomingBasketball HighSchoolHoops WyoBasketball
▣ GALLERYTHE WYOHOOPS SUMMER SHOWCASE WAS CRAZY. 🔥🏀 Shoutout to everybody who pulled up, got some quality summer reps, and gave us plenty of receipts to keep. 😤📸 Wyoming got hoopers. We got the receipts. #WyoHoops #WyoHoopsShowcase #WyomingBasketball #SummerHoops
▶ REELWHEN THE NEXT LEVEL COMES KNOCKING… YOU BETTER BE READY TO ANSWER. 📞😤 Coach Ty Larson and the Casper College crew pulled up and gave these boys the real game. Not just drills. Not just a sweat. They broke down what college coaches actually look for, what recruiting really takes, how winners move, and the little details that separate “he can hoop” from “we need him on our roster.” 👀 Then they put everybody through a real college workout. No shortcuts. No hiding in the line. No “my bad, coach.” 😭 Just tools for the bag, work to put in, and a better understanding of what it takes when you want that next-level jersey. The question is not if you want to play college ball. The question is… if that opportunity avtually calls, is your game ready? 🏀🔥 #WyoHoops #CasperCollege #WyomingBasketball #CollegeBasketball #Recruiting
